Some would say the latakia is over dominant so much that you can not taste the other tobaccos in this blend. if you can procure it Pirate Kake is Latakia. You can even just pack the kake bits. The smoke leans a little further to the sweet than the smokiness, and I can definitely pick up on the Perique and Orientals more than I had anticipated. Easily four stars with pleasure. My loyal first matey collie came in to join me and looked at the smoke and me and joined in for the fun. I was impressed with their giving it to me; it was a very attractive perfect little brick that I kept on my desk for a many months, just admiring its geometry and composition. In my ridiculously long churchwarden the smoke was actually pretty mellow for a latakia blend. Good smoke, I will keep it on hand as much as possible. I have a Savinelli 320 and a Peterson System Standard that I ONLY smoke Pirate Kake in. All hands on deck, The blend is like a latakia mouth wash with yes, a very light minty after taste of sweetness. Pirate Kake, on the other hand, it pure Cyprian smokiness without the coolness.
